1. PURPOSE

1.1 Customers must operate services lawfully and must not harm Hostly, other customers, third-party networks, or infrastructure providers.

1.2 Hostly may investigate credible reports and apply risk-proportionate restrictions, subject to law and the Terms of Service.

2. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

2.1 Malware distribution, ransomware, credential theft, phishing, fraud, unauthorized access, botnet command systems and denial-of-service activity are prohibited.

2.2 Spam, open mail relays, open proxies, abusive crawling, misleading mass messaging and hosting of unlawful material are prohibited.

2.3 Scanning, penetration testing, stress tests or exploitation against systems without verifiable authorization are prohibited. Written approval is required for testing Hostly systems outside an expressly published testing scope.

2.4 Cryptocurrency mining is prohibited except for the narrowly permitted personal testing described in Terms Section 6.9. Deliberate resource exhaustion, unauthorized tunneling, traffic laundering, IP reputation abuse and sustained uses that adversely impact shared capacity may be restricted.

2.5 No customer may bypass isolation limits, rate limits, anti-abuse systems, firewall requirements, billing controls, or account eligibility checks.

2.6 Free trials may not host VPNs, GRE or similar tunnels, public anonymizing gateways, or open proxies. Paid-plan VPN or tunneling use may require case-by-case prior approval; it is not universally banned by this free-trial clause.

2.7 Child sexual abuse material and unlawful exploitation are strictly prohibited and may be reported to competent authorities in accordance with law.

3. REPORTS AND ENFORCEMENT

3.1 Hostly may request cooperation, technical remediation, proof of authorization, or service configuration changes by a specified deadline.

3.2 Serious or time-sensitive threats may be filtered, isolated, null-routed or suspended without advance warning. Final termination, fees, and refunds remain subject to the Terms, Billing Policy, and mandatory law.

3.3 Repeated violations and attempts to evade enforcement are grounds for refusal of future service. Hostly does not promise to monitor all customer data.

4. RESPONSIBILITY

4.1 Customers remain responsible for applications, users, credentials, content, outbound traffic and abuse originating from their assigned services, except to the extent caused by Hostly's own breach of an applicable obligation.

4.2 Customers should report vulnerabilities privately via authenticated support rather than testing in production without permission.
